Nice to meet you, fellow creative person!
So…want to start or improve your creative business?
Let me show you how I can help.
I make my art my business.
C. Marshall Publishing is run by Clare C. Marshall: author, publishing professional, and website designer. For the better part of a decade, I’ve built a solid foundation of clients and publishing knowledge by forging new paths and getting my hands dirty. I’ve helped authors, small business owners, and corporations take their ideas and express them in digital & printed form.
I am intimately familiar with the pitfalls and struggles of a creative entrepreneur–because I am one! Faery Ink Press is my publishing company. Since 2011, I’ve published at least a book a year. I travel across the country promoting my titles at conventions and festivals. I cultivate useful knowledge that I in turn share with my clients.
CLARE C. MARSHALL grew up in rural Nova Scotia with very little television and dial-up internet, and yet she turned out okay. Her YA sci-fi novel Dreams In Her Head was nominated for the 2014 Creation of Stories award. Her hit fantasy novel The Violet Fox earned an honorable mention in the 2016 Whistler Independent Book Awards. She is a full-time freelance editor, book designer, and web manager. She’s also responsible for making the Bregman Leadership Podcast happen each week. If there’s time left in the day, she devotes it to Faery Ink Press, her publishing imprint. When she’s not writing or fiddling up a storm, she enjoys computer games and making silly noises at cats.
I don’t do things because they’re easy.
If being a creative entrepreneur were easy, everyone would be doing it. Bringing a projection from conceptualization to market is hard. Failure is common. Giving up, even more so.
I firmly believe there are two parts to success: quality work and continuing to show up. There is no such thing as making it–there’s only the next thing.
What’s your next thing?
Now you know me – I’d like to know what you’re working on!
